Our property occupies the south 1/2 of Section 30 in Fresno County. It contains 3 fields. They are separated by North/South private road boundaries . Standing on the diagonal highway, S. McMullin Grade, and looking east you will see the vineyard. This 70 acre plot was formerly called the triangle piece because of its physical shape. The almond orchard has the remaining 2. For a long time they had Suess esk names; South 2 and South 3, but they are better identified these days as the West field and East field.

Coolness — download Google Earth and search Estee Strom, LLC. Google Earth features a date slider control that will scan through the years allowing you to see changes or progress from 1998 to present.
Interesting factoid: There are an estimated 16,166 producing trees in the combined two fields.
We are never too certain of this number as an accurate count. Perhaps a drone mounted camera can someday do an aerial survey. For now we can zoom in on the satellite imagery as seen in the link below but a physical count could be tedious. The Google Map does lend the ability to spot missing or non-producing trees.
Bonus: Check my math! There are 1270 West to East feet in S2 and 1290 feet in S3. Both fields measure 2616 feet North to South. 17.75 to 18.5 foot spacing between trees. There are 118 rows and 22 feet between the rows
